Nissan Silvia S15 as a First Car?

I'm a huge car lover, specifically JDM car. In Canada you are allowed to import a car that's made before 2000. Anyways I'm turning 16 soon and was wondering if a SR20DE S15 would be a good first car. This is the non turbo engine with 160 HP. I was deciding between this and a Civic Type R but the type r is much faster. I would also like to note that I can't get a beater as a first car because I won't care about it which means I'll probably do pulls and stuff all the time, whereas with a S15 I'll drive like an old lady because I don't wanna crash it. Any opinions? Also thinking of a Toyota Altezza 1999, a Civic SI, or a Honda Integra. All JDM cars.

JDM. Japanese Domestic Market… You do realise the steering wheel will be on the right side of the car yes? Are you permitted to register a RHD car in your Province? I do know there are some restrictions. Check carefully with your local registration offices before spending loads of cash! I only know these issues exist because I deal with old Land Rovers in Europe. I live in the UK, where the cars are like Japanese models, and mainland Europe is like Canada and the US. Why the heck do you want to import a Nissan S chassis car without an SR turbo engine? The whole point of importing is to get something that has never been available first hand locally. If I were you, I'd just just go for a local Nissan 350z if they are cheap and plentiful like in my case. An Altezza is pretty much a Lexus IS. As for high trim civics, it's cheaper to buy a local 92-00 Civic and so an engine swap if you do the work yourself. Switching from a mediocre Honda D engine to a Honda B engine should cost you no more than a few thousand dollars. All these local options may have more wear and tear, but at he end of the day, they are cheaper or no more expensive at worst.
