Passenger side window won't go up?

I have a 2007 honda civic coupe and the passenger window won't go up the drivers side switch is loose so i know i'm going to have to replace it but when i pull up on the passenger side switch nothing happens either my fuses are good and i don't hear any noise when i pull up the passenger side switch i don't know what the problem is

Fix the driver's side switch and see if that fixes it. In order to prevent the driver trying to roll it up while the passenger is trying to roll it down the circuit goes through both the driver switch and the local switch.

MOST vehicles have a lockout switch on the driver door which disables the power window switches on the other doors. That and the master switch in the driver door are the most common issues.

Switch is bad, motor is bad, regulator is bad or wiring is bad. Key ON, test for power and ground at the motor with a test light or multimeter when the switch is pressed. The results will guide you what to look for next. Anything else is guessing. A wiring diagram of the power window system would help very much. If you do not have a clue, see a mechanic.

If the drivers door master control switch for the passenger door window is bad you might need to buy the complete master door switch assembly, not just the switch.
Call your local auto recycler for a quote on a used unit.

If it won't work at all on the passenger side, the first thing to do is check to see that the master lock on the driver's side switch isn't ON - that will prevent all switches from working. If it isn't that…

It can be either the switch or a loose wire. My passenger side window worked perfectly if I used the passenger side switch, but using the master switch on the driver's side, it worked intermittently, meaning I had a loose wire on the driver's side. You can't get it to work at all on the passenger's side, so it's not the driver's side switch. You may have to replace both switches.

Jesus Christ. Punctuation: Learn it, understand it, and use it.

And get a professional to look at your window problem. Power windows aren't complicated, but they're really easy to screw up if you don't know what you're doing. People who do their own electronic work are the #1 cause of vehicle fires worldwide.

Replace the bad switch. Arguing with it won't make it work and it will never heal.

  • Passenger side window won't go up after radio stolen? Recently my car was stolen about a week later we found the car and the only thing really missing was the radio which had been stolen. The window of the passenger side was also all the way down. Now, it won't go back up. Any ideas what could happened or how to fix it? I'm thinking it had something to do with the stolen radio and maybe a cable or something getting disconnected? The car is a 1996 Honda Civic with power windows. Checked the fuses and they are good.
