Should i purchase this Honda Civic?

Buying a car on craigslist, but my brother told me not to get it because it has high mileage and that this car would only last me about 2 years or less. Is that true?
Mileage is important but it's more important to check all the systems: engine, transmission, suspension, brakes, etc. Only then you can make your decision.
Restored title which means the car was totaled and has been rebuilt. Do not even think of buying this car. You have no clue as to how bad it was wrecked or if it may have been a flood car. It may have been rebuilt perfectly or it may be a money pit. Leave it alone and keep looking. BTW, 138,000 miles is nothing for a Honda that has been well taken care of. But this one is one I would not recommend you buy.

He's pretty close to edmunds private party price. The restored title should raises flags though.
Just have a mechanic check it out first. I have a Taurus with 254,000 miles on it because I have taken good care of it and I don't drive it abusively.
Honda engines can last forever. Much more reliable than my car. Your brother has no idea of what he is talking about.
- Should I have a mechanic inspect the car I'm about to purchase (2009 honda civi hybrid - 52K miles)? It is at wheels and deals. I do not know if they check out the cars or allow inspections. I know nothing about cars. Should I have a shop inspect it? Or is it okay not to do since I'm buying from wheels and deals and the car has very low miles?
- Purchase dropped Honda Ruckus? Front wheel alignment is slightly off? I'm looking to purchase a Honda ruckus. I found a used one that was dropped several times. The steering alignment is off so you have to turn the handlebars slightly to the side to go straight. There's no damage to the body but I'm wondering if this is something that can easily be repaired or should I stay away. Overall it runs well and has a little over 4K miles.
- Nissan vs Hyundai vs Toyota vs Honda vs Scion. Which one is more reliable and a better purchase? Nissan vs. Hyundai vs. Toyota vs. Honda vs. Scion… Which one is more reliable and a better purchase?
- Should I purchase a Honda Fit or a Kia Soul? I'm on the fence between the both based on company standards. Honda has always made a reliable car, but the Kia has better warranty and better features. Help me! I'm a college student looking for a fun, yet reliable car!
