What can I do about my problem with the used car I just bought?

So recently I just bought a 2007 Honda Civic Si from a dealer an the same night I get it home I notice both the reverse lights don't work. I live at in New York so the dealer went an had the car inspected but obviously they knew the inspector because how could your car pass inspection if the reverse lights don't come on?! So I mean what can I do about the problem if the dealer isn't whileing to fix it?

Yeah, good luck proving that. And, sorry, lights can go off any second you own the car. Fuses blow, wires get rubbed, etc.

Since it's a safety issue, they may help you, but no law forces them to do so. In order to satisfy a good customer, they'll probably fix the issue. Only one way to find out.

I would suggest trying new lights before you take it into a shop. If that doesn't work then just take it to a cheap shop

Take it back & see if the dealer will fix it. You have nothing to lose by asking nicely.

Reverse lights are not tested.

Caveat emptor.

Used cars are sold "as is". You can do what you want with your car.
