What is the red blinking light on the dashboard of my Honda Civic 2018? (not alarm, dashboard shuts off)?

So this just happened today for the first time ever

Turned on my car as usual and drove off
But then noticed my dashboard was completely blank. No lights or anything. Except one blinking red light next to where the left turn signal would be

It was so strange because I turned my car on and off and it still wouldn't show anything on the dashboard except for that red light. But the cat was still running perfectly fine

It wasn't until I fiddled with the battery a little that it went back to normal. But I still don't understand what that was for. Any answers?

Your car came with an owners manual. READ IT dumbass.

READ the owner's manual. Or go to the dealer. Your car is still under warranty.

Ask Penny from BBT. She knows a thing or two about dashboard lights.

There's a dimmer control for those lights. It might be a knob or maybe in a settings menu. Maybe you accidentally turned it all the way down? Or maybe the fuse for those lights has blown? Or maybe it's something else. Read your Owners Manual. Or get it checked by a mechanic.

I'd get my owners manual out but it's in the car.

Find your owner's manual and read it. Start with the index, to get you to the section you want right now, instead of reading the whole thing- it's big. Don't be afraid. The manual is your friend.

Probably security light, check your manual

All of the warning lights are explained to you in the first several pages of your owners manual.
Read it!

Usually there's a drawing of a square box or an oil can or a thermometer.(battery or charging system; oil pressure or level; coolant temperature. Read your owners manual because it is one of those things UNLESS IT SHOWS A CHAIR WITH A SPRING UNDER IT… That is the
REJECTION SEAT… The new optional extra to get rid of mother in law.

It's time to look at your OWNER'S MANUAL!
