WHAT MADE All FOUR BRAKES ON MY 98 HONDA CIVIC STICK ON?
Somebody put oil instead of brake fluid in your master cylinder reservoir and now all the rubber seals in the system have swollen and seized up.
I'd first suspect some kind of failure in the vacuum booster.
You can unbolt the master cylinder from the booster without breaking any hydraulic connections - if the brakes release, that's proof. (Or, if they release by themselves with the engine off.)
Possibly a security feature? If it has an immobiliser maybe thats an old feature.
- 2006 Honda Pilot oil stick showing low oil? The car has absolutely no obvious leaks and its not burning oil we bought a new stick and changed the oil but yet it's still (stick only) showing as low oil, what could be the issue? Is the stick (bought new one from dealership ) the issue or can it be leaking out somewhere that's not in plain view? I'm taking it to mechanic next week but I'm trying to see if I could get Tips Here first. The car runs perfectly fine, no obvious issues.
