What parts need replacing on a 2002 honda civic lx?
I have a 2002 honda civic lx at 74,000 miles. My dealership reports 3 items need to be replaced:
1) both front lower ball joints, cost $560 + tax
2) front & year stabilizer links, cost $470 + tax
3) front engine motor mount, cost 230 + tax
Is this typical?
230 bucks for a motor mount? FFS! They cost at most 50 bucks at a parts store. You need to find another mechanic.
Pay attention to any Honda w. A timing BELT. Change every 90k miles
I would get a second opinion.
stabilizer links?
motor mount after only 74k? You turbocharged the Civic?
For a 12 year old Honda with 74k miles? Yes. But you might want to take your Civic to a reputable local automotive center in your area to keep the costs down. You can save several hundreds of dollars by doing so compared to the Honda dealership.
- What else do I need as far as wiring for subs, head unit, and amp for 2002 Honda civic lx? I have a bass inferno 1500dx watt amp, with two 10 inch rockford fosgate punch p1 subs, and a pioneer FH-X700BT head unit that has bluetooth. I'm new to this is need to know what all wires are needed to be purchased so I'm able to install everything.
- USA 2002 Civic stereo to Japanese 2002 civic stereo? I'm in Japan & got a 2002 Honda Civic hatchback, just to get from point a to point b, I want to change the stereo, if I buy a 2002 stereo & harness and antenna and all that from Amazon, for American Honda civics, will it fit in a Japanese Honda Civic?
- I bought a new manifold for my 2002 Honda Civic 4 door LX do I need the o2 censor for it? The new manifold is a street header without the cat, but my old manifold had the top and bottom o2 censor. Well I be fine just leaving them out?
- Can anyone point me to a forum or website for fixing/replacing my door speakers in my 1996 Honda Civic DX? I've Googled my but off and either can't find the correct arrangement of words or what. I just need to figure out why they aren't working and how to properly wire the stock speakers.
