WHAT STREET RACING CAR SHOULD I GET?

Before you all get butthurt its Legal street racing. I want a car that looks really nice. I don't really like anything too old and my budget is about 5k. I don't really like honda civics but what's the best one i could soup up? But i do like the acura integras and was thinking of getting one of those maybe? I looked at a lot of cars and they all seem to have something i dislike. What about BMW's or audis? If so what's the best one? All the cars i do like are out of my budget for example supras, sti's… Anybody know of any cars that are good looking that i can soup up? Nothing too old and rusty. No cars like rx7 that look old and only look good when you put a lot of work into it (bodykits, paint jobs) Thanks

Added (1). 3000gt what you think?

Mazda Miata
Mazda RX-8
Subaru Impreza
Scion Tc
Honda S2000

Legal street racing is composed entirely of private tracks… Making it the same as any other track racing. Choose the same car you would for track racing and decide what sort of racing you are interested in. Very different cars are competitive in autocross and drag. I had an 82 hp Lotus Europa that would leave any of the Corvettes behind on an autocross track.

With your limited budget I would recommend a Mazda miata. Can mod relatively cheaply and they're incredibly fast when turbo'd. Check out youtube videos.

Get an American v8. (Camaro, mustang). I would not recommend BMW or European cars with that budget. Parts are expensive and sometimes you have to order them from Europe.

A 4th gen Camaro Z28 or SS or Firebird Trans Am WS6 will have more stock than what you'd get with a 90's 4 banger and a few upgrades. Both come stock with a 6 speed manual transmission, LT1 or LS1 V8 ( LT1 275-285 HP, LS1 325HP 340Torque), limited slip rear diff and are rear wheel drive.

I'm telling you get a g body chevy or a 80s nova, 3rd gen camaro/fire bird or t/a or a 5.0/ gt mustang 80-93 or sn95 you can build them better then any ricer integra or civic if you like tuners get a rx7, toyota supra, 240sx, but to go fast you need more then that no matter what car you get thats why I say get a v8 and get something that is already built halfway=more bang 4 your $$$ when it comes to mods

The first cheap, quick and reasonably 'cool' cars that come to mind would be a 90's Eagle Talon, Mitsubishi Eclipse, 03-05 SRT-4 neon or like many other comments suggest, possibly a foxbody mustang, early model Camaro, Trans Am, etc. Be weary when looking for something under 5k. My first car was a 03 Dodge nsrt-4 and I loved it to death. Parts are very cheap, it's already turbocharged with good power, and for the price it's great. Keep it clean, get a nice ride height with a nice set of wheels, and this would be a great option within your budget/desires

Eagle talon, Subaru wrx, Acura integra, older mustang, Scion tC, and much more

  • WHAT STREET RACE CAR SHOULD I GET? I'm a girl and i'm really into cars. I'm getting a car and don't know what i should get. Can someone give me some examples of some good cars i can totally modify under 8k… No lame hondas please or rx8 since they break down too easily. I preffer a manual over a automatic. I was looking mostly at the wrx sti subies. But what are some others that look good. I don't want anything too old or ugly looking. What do you think about an acura integra? Or a rx7?
  • Should Red Bull Racing use 2014 chassis (RB10) until at the rest of season? Red Bull Racing today are struggling with 0 podiums and 0 wins. Unlike Repsol Honda in MotoGP, they use 2014 chassis until at the rest of season to return to title contender
  • What racing battery should i use for my 96 honda integra? I have a 1996 honda integra and its built i was wondering what battery would work the best for performance as well as weight reduction odysee extreme pc680 or optima battery yellow top
  • Is it a good idea to get a crotch rocket as a beginner street bike? I really like the Honda CBR 600's. I've actaullu never ridden a crotch rocket. I'm 5'6 exact and 135 pounds. Would this bike be too big? I ride motocross on an RM 125 Suzuki. It's pretty tall. Anyways, am I crazy to want a crotch rocket as a beginner rider? What bike would you guys recommend? Besides a Ninja 250 because I heard you outgrow them and they don't provide much speed/power.
