Where can I get a new ignition and locks for a 97 honda civic dx?
I have a 97 honda dx hatch back. It came with 3 sets of keys. 1 for the ignition, 1 for the trunk, and the last is for the 2 doors, but it won't lock the passenger door, so i have to open the door and lock it from the inside. I just want 1 key for my whole car.
I tried looking for kits but I have no idea what to put in the search bar.
I suggest you go talk to a local locksmithy. The one's one typically calls to come to the house and help. But go to them. Don't make them come to you. They are very pricey iffin they have to come to you. But going to them, unlike their reputation, is very very reasonable when you go to them. They night be able to re-key things or advise you of your options w/o having to buy all new locks.

i'd have everything keyed to the door key. And have them figure out why that key won't unlock both doors.
reason why i sugeested the dorr key as master, is due to the labor involved in removing the lock.
the ignition and trunk tumbler/lock is easy to remove. Having either one of those as a master key would involve removing the door tumbler/lock. Which is more labor intensive to do. So if keyed to the door, those locks won't don't need to be removed.

- My 2010 honda civic's armrest is broken. It's not the latch that locks the armrest, but it's the hinge that makes it go up and down? The entire back hinge of the armrest broke off so now the back of it is exposed which is a safety hazard and just looks terrible. I want to get it fixed, but I have no idea if it can be fixed or where to take it. If anyone could give me any ideas on what kind of shop could fix this for me that would be great. I feel like I'm a burden being a girl who calls around town all of the time trying to get car issues fixed because I don't know exactly who specializes in these things.
- Replaced my ignition switch but lost the key to that replacement ignition switch? I just replaced the ignition switch in my 2003 honda accord from another used 03 accord. The replacement switch obviously came with it's key. However my mechanic apparently lost the key to the replacement switch and now I'm in a rut. Not sure what to do. What are my options?
