Who can install a hood lock on my car?
I have an 97 Honda Civic which is popular with young car thieves in the Hood. I may get a job the requires me to go into not so good neighborhoods. I want to have a hood lock installed to prevent them from stealing any parts out my car. I understand that this won't stop them from stealing my car but I have another solution for that. Can an auto body place install it?

You are overestimating the value of your hooptie. You trying to sound gansta is pretty lame, I doubt many people would want to steal anything under the hood. And any lock can be removed by bolt cutters.
The Toyota Camry is the most stolen car in the US.
But if you insist on wasting money to put a hood lock on your car any body shop should be able to do so
A body shop or mechanic shop can either one probably do it. I would go to a place like Pep Boys. They sell several different hood lock systems. They might also install it for you. If not they can probably recommend someone.
- I rear ended a car in my 99 honda passport and now the hood will not open? The latch will move if you push it with a screwdriver but it will do nothing to move the hood. I would like to see if i can fix it before i pay any more to get it fixed… Any advice?
