Why can't I insert key into ignition on 2005 Honda Civic?
Added (1). Battery died, had it jumped. Couldn't insert key into ignition. After some time was able to, started car ok, removed key, locked out of ignition again. I know sometimes disconnecting battery will mess up a Honda computers things/radios. Trying to solve before a tow to the dealer. This car also has an AM security. Just owned a week. Left the AM security FOB in the house so no conflict but it may be too late. Can't recall steps taken to get it started yesterday at least once.
Wrong key or ignition lock faulty
Make sure there's no tension from the wheels being turned, that can make it hard to insert the key if the wheels are putting pressure on the steering column lock mechanism.
- If my 92 honda key isn't working, can I replace just the part where the key goes in, or do I have to do more? They are telling me that with installation, it will be like $300 at least, My friend just had the same problem, but in an much older pick up, but she said they just replaced a small part where they ket goes in?
- HONDA PCX IGNITION KEY SHUTTER LOCKED OUT? I accidentally closed the shutter of my honda pcx 150. I don't have anymore the original key I lost last month. I tried with the copy key may times but of course the magnets were not placed at all in the blank key. i have called also HONDA and they told me to call AAA or a locksmith. The locksmiths i have called they say no we can't do that. What are my options?
- Is the Honda Civic 2005 type R the same as the 2005 civic si? I know they are both ep3 body style. But did America sell the type r? Or is every 2005 civic ep3 here a si? And what's the difference between the ep2 and 3. And how hard is it to get a si with under 75,000 nowadays Thank you.

I've herd its easy but can anyone tell me step by step please? The key is stuck in ignition won't come out & won't turn all the way off (only goes to 2) I have the cylinder just need help with installation. Please
