Why doesn't my car start when its cold out?

I have a Honda civic LX 2001 during cold mornings it doesn't start when its 10-15 Fahrenheit. When i try to start it does crank and seems like its about to start then doesn't. When i attempt to start for the 2nd time it just sounds like a dead battery sound. I don't know if its my battery or alternator

Your battery is on its last leg. The alternator seems to be fine. Replace battery

Thanks Patrick i also made an appointment with Monro Muffler for an oilchange ill ask them to check to see what's causing it

It's all about cold crank amps. In that vehicle the battery should have 410 cca. If the battery is weak or dying it can no longer produce the amount needed to start The car. Or you let it sit for a long time and needs to be jumped and driven. If jump and drive doesn't work… Replace the battery. Or go to a honda dealer they will check the battery for free
