Would this turbo kit blow my engine?
I found a turbo kit online and thought it would be fine until someone told me that it would blow my engine. I have a 1995 honda del sol VTEC stock performance wise. Would this kit blow my engine? If so what else would I need? Thanks!

A turbo- or super-charger increases the stresses on the engine during combustion - that's the extra power. So unless you have the turbo set so it doesn't increase manifold pressure much (in which case why bother) you will be putting extra load on the engine. The manufacturer won't have made allowance for that, and a worn engine is 'weak' anyway.
So some strengthening work on the crankshaft, bearings, con rods etc would be advisable.
Hi the idea of just sticking a turbo on an old worn engine is only going to blow it one way. That way is a wrecked engine. You can't stick a device on a worn out old engine and expect to to work for long. A new engine has less wear in it's bearings and could take the power. How ever you would need to rebuild an engine which most don't want to do they want a quick fix. Well that will not happen all you will do is shorten the life of what life is left in an old engine.
A turbo will blow most Honda engines if you don't strengthen the bottom end.
If you know what your doing, not likely
Well, if you push it hard enough, sure you can blow it up. Be responsible, and don't over do it.
- 2001 Honda CR-V A/C will blow cool for 15-30 min then go warm? My 2001 Honda CR-V has 170,000 miles and it blows fairly cold air for the first 15-30 minutes but then gets warm until I let the car sit for a few hours. I have not checked the cabin filter yet since on this series of CR-V it is the hardest one I have had to get to, so wanted to ask first. Do you think it is that? Also, it doesn't sound like the compressor turns on or off if that makes a difference.
- Planning to get a turbo kit for my 2002 honda civic ex with 140k on it i go for it or leave it alone? Is a 1250 dollar turbo kit from ebay. My friend is a mechanic so he would help me for cheap but is it really worth it? I already upgraded the exhaust and got a cold air intake. Also what other upgrades would i have to do if i go for it?
