2007 Honda CR-V with 168k miles going for around 11k, worth it?

2007 Honda CR-V, 168k miles, sunroof, heated leather seats, etc. - no major problems. Going for about $11k. I'm very interested in this car and for the most part I'm aware Hondas are good for the mileage but I know more about Civics than CR-Vs. The mileage is the only thing that makes me pause - has anyone owned one before or own one now? How is it? Any information on how long they are good for/how many miles you can put on them without problems arising? I've had an '06 Chevy Cobalt for almost 3 years and have only put 20k miles on it myself so it's not like I put crazy miles on my cars, just thought I would get some feedback.

Have you shopped around for anything else in the $11K price range? If not you should really consider doing so. You can find all kinds of vehicles in that price range that are both lower mileage AND newer.

I did a 10 second search on Autotrader in my area (Minneapolis) and, for example, I found a 2008 and a 2007 Honda Pilot (a larger and nicer SUV than the CR-V), both with about 140K miles for the same $11,000 price. I also found cars like a 2007 Hyundai Azera with just 59K miles and a 2007 Hyundai Sonata with only 29K miles on it, both for $11K. If it were me, I'd keep shopping around for something with less wear and tear on it for that price.

Not at 11k. Honda had transmission problems with their models between 98-07 I say skip it

The majority of the running gear is from the equivilant era Civic. The price is too high for that mileage. You can get a good CR-V with those features and 40-60K less miles for that price.

In my opinion no, way too much money for such a high mileage vehicle. You should research all car values using www.kbb.com, www.nadaguides.com and www.clearbook.truecar.com

Since you say you put crazy miles on a car then you should seek out a lower mileage car. Even Honda's need routine maintenance and repair and the higher mileage any car is, the more likely longer term wear items come due on your watch.
