Car was extremely low on gas and I stalled while driving slow?
Car was extremely low on gas and I stalled while driving slow. I immediately turned off the car. After 3 seconds I turned the switch and the car started and I drove 1 mile to the nearest gas station. My question is was this stall area from low gas? The car didn't do it again drives great. Its a Honda crv 1998 automatic.
If you hit the brakes or went around a corner with a low fuel level can easily slosh and miss the pickup and cause a stall.
Yes. Probably. All it takes is a gulp of air to stop the engine. It is bad for the fuel pump to run on low gas.
