Honda CR-V LX: Sufficient Power?

If you own the Honda CR-V LX model, please give your opinion of its power (or lack of it). Does the LX's power suffice? Or is it practically mandatory to get the EX which offers more power? The LX would save me a lot of money but this power question is the deciding factor.

Its transportation, not a RACE CAR.

Get a MUSTANG or CAMARO if you want power.

It's a ******* CR-V. The only power you need is the power to merge onto the freeway.

It is sufficient to move the vehicle. Are you planning a hill climb up a 45 degree slope (hold your hand… The edge in front of your face and approximate about 45 degrees… Where have you seen a road with that angle? Nowhere. Heck 30 degrees is hard to find. Then traction might be a problem. Tires will spin and you go nowhere fast.

I'm old enough to remember when Rolls-Royce advertised its cars as having "adequate" power. (Which they did.)
