Is Honda CR-V the most reliable SUV of all time?

I still see lots of 1997-1998 CR-Vs on the road.

Best ever?

Nope

The CRV's are good but have had their issues over the years. Catastrophic compressor failures. Constant headlight bulb replacements. Window regulators. And that bizarre rear diff fluid changing all the time for noises. Every car model has issues. My vote goes to the Highlander for longevity and lack of issues.

I'd say that's an arguable claim. If you want to know the best ones out there, look at all the classified ads. The ones advertised the least are usually the best to own because people don't sell them. I've been driving my Toyota 4Runner for 25 years and will probably drive it another 25 if I live that long or until it gets banned as a gas guzzler.

Hi No it is a second rate when compared to a TOYOTA LANDCRUISER.

No - it just means that they were popular in those years.

  • Which trucks are the most reliable or easiest to fix if something goes wrong? I'm searching for a pick up truck thats reliable. I know everyone has their preference. I'm searching between a ranger s10 z71 f150 and gmc mid sized trucks. Any other suggestions would be great. I know some cars like honda are very easy to fix and i'm just wanting a truck that I can easily fix if something goes wrong.
  • Most reliable car for $1,000? I've been looking at Toyota and Honda from 1995-2004 because they get great gas mileage, but in terms of reliability who makes the best 10 year old cars?
  • Most reliable American car makes and models? Looking to buy brand new. For daily driving. Preferably 4 door mid-size or compact. Use to drive Nissan and Honda but considering American if good idea.
  • Toyota SUV or Honda SUV? Highlander, rav4 and crv? I have narrowed it down to these 3 SUV Toyota highlander Toyota rav4 Honda crv I need a SUV that is good on gas ( 20 mpg of more preffered) very reliable as in will last forever of at least. A very long time with little problems and won't break down often. I know the highlander is bigger of the 3 and because of its size equals slightly less mpg. What does both toyota and honda have for reputations? Are they reliable and good vehicles? Opinions on these makes and models?
