Is the HONDA CR-V a good car to live in?

I need a car with enough room to live in since I'm getting evicted.

Get a cargo van.

Or an RV.

A bit small.

I stay in my Chrysler Town and Country once and a while. I'm comfy with a week or two of gear, food, supplies (ski trips). A good sleeping pad really helps (if you have room).

Normally, I take my old pickup with a slide-in camper (picked both up for $500). Over 4 years I have about $1500 total into it in repairs/maintenance.

Have slept in compact cars, full size sedans, etc… I'd take my minivan over anything other than a full-size truck, full-size van, or camper.

No

As good as any side sized SUV.

I had a 2001 Ford Windstar, with all but the two front seats removed, I was able to set up a very comfortable air mattress. Plenty of room for myself and my dog. We lived in it for 4 months one spring.

I have heard that it is a good idea to have a car in order to own at least a basic form of shelter should you be evicted or can't immediately find an apartment or room to rent or live in. The larger the better but I have heard of some people making the best of a very small car which is better than just a tent or box to stay out of the cold.
If a HONDA CR-V is large enough for you to stand up in and also allow you to stretch out to sleep on the floor or on a sleeping mat, or at least if it has enough room for you to do the latter, then it should be basically good enough. You should be able to put your most necessary belongings somewhere in the car or tied to the roof. I have heard that some people rent storage space in one of those rental-storage warehouses but instead of keeping a lot of belongings in their rented closets, they secretly live in there at least at certain times of the day.

No car is good to live in.

Car to live in? So you will leave your house.

Living in any car isn't cool. A lot depends on how big you are.
A converted van is the best.
