Whistling sound 2005 honda crv?
When accelerating starting to make a whistling sound when i reach 30,000 rpm
When i rev can't go over 50,000 rpm and it start to creat a whistling sound
I change air filter clean the trottle
Still have the problem
Guessing it's a typo with the stated 30,000/50,000 RPM? Was the AC on? My 2007 has the same noise (Guessing) like yours and the dealer replaced the what so called "New/ Improved" expansion valve for the AC system. It took care of the noise.
This is the TSB for my 2007 model, don't know if there's one for 2005 model: Contact your local dealer for more information:

Other things could be electrical interference through the radio from the alternator? (Guessing again) ;-)
or bearing noise from the belt tensioner or alike in the engine compartment? You have not specified where you heard the noise from the exterior or interior. Could it be like a vacuum leak? Window seal(s) leak? Windshield seal leaking? You can tape off around the windshield frame and test drive and see if the noise is gone.
Could it be the roof rack, remove it and see. Could it be any after market thing(s) that installed like bug shield or the air intake has been modified?
Could it be the AC compressor? Look at this link:

Don't know for sure if it help you but vehicle noise, any noise is a nightmare to diagnose, specially online. Anyway e mail me and if you would include more information so I can pull out my magic ball and see. HTH
Edit: Good luck to you.
At 30000 rpm any honda engine will be in orbit, even the fastest one only goes to 8000, most likely a vacuum leak or the throttle valve not fully opening
- Weird whistling noise coming from my ATV engine? So i have a honda 250ex, and today whenever i would give it gas, i would here a strange whistling noise coming from the cylinder block in the engine. When in neutral the sound was not heard. I never heard this sound before and it made me a little nervous. Just wondering if there's a problem with it or if i need to replace something.
- Why is my 2005 Honda CRV not holding Frion? I've replaced the compressor, the clutch, the belts, the hoses, and the dual fans, but it still won't hold Frion for more than 2 weeks. If I'm lucky, it will sometimes work afterwards if I drive over 40 mph.
- Why does the VSA light come on my 2005 honda CRV? I'm looking for more detailed info than what the manual says because its not happening in those conditions and its causing motor stalling
- I'm planning to buy 2005 Honda CRV, with 140K miles on it, how much worth do you think? It looks in a clean condition. @Lan K, the vehicle looks clean, inside out, clean title, and timing belt and water pump has been changed. He was asking $7000, and Now he come down to $5,600.
