Best Harley for a short, petite woman?

I'm 5'3" and 110 lbs. I Just bought a Road King for my Fiance for his birthday, and when we go on road trips we can both fit on that, but I kind of want one for myself (like while he's at work and I'm stuck at home with nothing to do. There's no way I'd be able to handle a Road King by my tiny self). I've looked into a few smaller sized Harley's, but I just want to hear people's personal experiences/opinions on which is the best smaller sized bike. Also other brands you like that would be easy for me to handle (Honda, etc)

** Ride Your Own Ride **

Smart people buy motorcycle that match where you will ride. Example: a Road King for my Fiance for his birthday, and when we go on road trips -- just about the best motorcycle for the use. Now let's talk about you: " I kind of want one for myself… While he's at work and I'm stuck at home with nothing to do. "

Assume short trips, no freeway, maybe will be shopping a few things for dinner. OK… Just about anything between 120cc to 250cc will suffice. Lightweight is easier. What *style* do you want? Sport, Standard, Cruiser, or maybe a scooter. You want used or new? Do you want something *different*?

If you want the lightest, you want made in USA, a Janus Halcyon 50, 173 pounds, capable of 55 mph, Made in Goshen Indiana, not legal in California. My 150cc scooter weighs about 250 pounds. Japanese 250cc cruisers weigh about 330 pounds. If you want a new Harley Davidson you can handle the new Street 500 or 750 at 480 pounds.

And you can handle the Road King. Know the technique and you can pick it up if it drops.

The engine does all of the work. So if you have proper technique, any sized person can ride just about any bike on the market.

The only issue you would run into is if your inseam is short enough that sitting at a stop light is difficult. Leaning the bike over so you can get a foot down, could lead to a dump as leaning a big bike is tough while stopped.

Honda Rebel is a good small starter. Looks good. Sounds good. Cheap to insure. Designed for a smaller person.

Harley is introducing a new line early in July. A 500 and a 750 either of which might be what you are after.Best Harley for a short, petite woman

If you need a Harley start checking your showrooms. I hear they're coming out with a few smaller bikes soon.

What riding experience do you have - that will be a big factor in the answer. How long, what have you ridden etc

Harley's smallest is an 883 and that is not much smaller than a sportster 1200. A lot of weight for a beginner to handle.
