Do i need to screw my muffler tip?
I bought a muffler tip for my 07 honda civic and it doesn't fit with the screws but without out the screws, it fits perfect and tight like i feel like it won't come off until u pull hard on it, but i was just asking can i leave it on like that or what?
Take it to a local mechanic who has good reviews.
Just leave it like that
When it gets hot and vibrates it will rattle and fall off, far away from home and you'll never find it. Drill it and put in a sheet metal screw
Metal expands as it is heated. I'd line up and mark the holes where the tip screws meet the pipe. Take tip back off. Drill holes in pipe next size up from screws. Reinstall and mount those screws. Tight now without means loss later. As you said. You pull hard it comes off. Guess what, even easier hot. The idea being hot or cold it should NOT come off.
Drill a couple of holes and put in a couple of self tapping screws or take it to a muffler shop and have them tack weld it on
