HID bulbs won't fit in projector lens? Modify the projectors?

I'm planning to buy an HID conversion kit soon. Before I add the hid's, I want to house projectors in 1998 Honda Accord EX headlights. However most projectors I've found accept h1, h4, or h7 bulbs. I know the bulbs for the Accord are 9006/hb4 and are angled 90 degrees as opposed to the previous bulbs mentioned before. I'm guessing the hb4 bulbs will not be compatible with the projectors I'm looking at, right? What can I do? Should I modify the projectors to accept hb4 bulbs?

Do a real retrofit and put something like a D1 mini or an FX35 projector in and use OEM HID components…

  • Is it safe to put an HID bulb 6000k or 8000k on my current HID that is 4300k? I'm not sure what heat is my stock HID but I'm assuming It's 5000k or 4300k since it is still bright yellow and not on the bluish side. I was wondering do I just buy the d4s bulb? Or do I have to get a kit? What are the avaerage prices and are some of them bad quality ones? I don't know anything about lights I'm certainly not going to change em myself but have someone do it.
