Suggestions for finding lift for scooter. Into Honda Fit hatchback?

I need to find a lift to get my Pride Go-go scooter into the back area. Local dealers all tell me it's impossible. Manual says that with 2 people in car, you can carry 550 lbs of cargo. Scooter only weighs 100 lb. Lifts I've seen weigh from 35 lbs and up. What am I missing?

Added (1). They're saying the hitch weight is only 100 lbs. I realize the scooter would need to be broken down (seat off which is simply) otherwise the size of the scooter is not a problem.

I think you are misunderstanding the local dealers. Did you measure the cargo area of your Fit and the scooters dimensions? I don't think the dealers are telling you it's impossible due to weight but because of size, shape of scooter and cargo area of Fit. If it does measure out, you can try contacting U Haul to see if they have a lift, otherwise you may have to get creative with a few extra hands and a 2 ton floor jack to try and maneuver that scooter into your Honda Fit.

How much money does the scooter cost? I'd call the service department of Honda and just ask them. Still call my dealer now and then and my car is 10 years old.

  • Oem radio, help finding code 2002 honda covic lx? I have a 2002 honda civic lx and was gonna replace the battery soon. Is there anyway I can get the code off of the radio unit itself or do I have to find that sticker with the code. I've looked in the glove box, isn't in there. Where else would it be? But is there something I could press on the radio itself to show the code, the radio is function and everything works. Kinda worried when I do change my battery it will have that error code come up. Any help please, thanks.
