Added (1). I'm not too sure what is up with the car. Whether it is being driven or parked when you press on the gas and hold it at the same spot it the rpms climb. Also in every gear no matter what the car jerks around while trying to accelerate. The car still has power.
Any codes on ECU computer?
My first thought is O2 sensor. Second I would check for leaking fuel injector (s).
What model CRX do you have? Different fuel management systems.
It's not the 02 it's the dizz or some were in the gas. But need to no more
- How come my CRX cuts out at high rpm? I have a 1991 Honda CRX. It has a 1.5L (D15B2) and it has like 196xxx miles on it and it's automatic by the way. When I step on it, it accelerates fine but when it starts to get to the high rpm range, it starts to like cut out. I've changed my plugs and wires and also the head gasket. Any ideas on what it could be? The car starts right up and the car also vibrates at in gear at idle but the idle is fine. It's not too low.

I drive a 2008 Honda civic ex and I noticed that when I press the gas pedal lightly the tachometer increases really fast like up to 2000-3000 rpm and the car is not even going 50 mph. Is it normal for the rpm of the car to go really high when I barely press the gas pedal? My car has about 60,000 miles on it if it helps and I have had no issues with it since I bought it.
