How to find out what gas tank fits my 1969 Honda CB350?
How do I find out what gas tank fits my 1969 Honda CB350?
If you know what variant it is (e.g., a K3), you can see if one of the diagrams here has the part number:
http://www.cmsnl.com/honda-cb350_model132/
If you don't know the variant, you can use this website to find out according to the VIN:
http://www.motogrid.com/pages/OemParts?aribrand=HOM#
For example, here is the fuel tank for a CB350 K2:

1969 honda cb350.
IIRC, almost any cb350 tank should fit. I believe my frame is a 1969 and have what appear to be 1973 tins on it. May have issues with seat fit though. If I have time tomorrow, I will compare a few (have 3 CL350 and 2 CB350 at out shop right now).
- Why did my gas tank start rusting after I washed it out with muriatic acid? I have a 1978 Honda Express 49cc moped, the gas tank had rust collecting in it and I've tried everything before going to muriatic acid. When I drained the tank out I was surprised, it was super clean, and I was happy. Until I came back out four hours later to see it had started rusting again. I rinsed it with water, blew it out and sloshed it around with gas. Why does it keep rusting? Do I need to use a sealant? What should I do?
