How to lower the milles in a 2000 honda prelude MT?

How to lower the milles of in a 2000 honda prelude cluster?

You haven't told us the reason why but several things for your consideration, in case you want to avoid the high mileage reading when selling the car later: There are ways to find out the true reading on your odometer and they're available (Like CarFax. Etc)

1- It's a Federal offense to tamper with the odometers and fail to disclose it when selling the vehicle.

2- The mileage is store in the car's controller (Computer) so even replacing the dash cluster, the mileage then will be transfered to the new cluster. (Most modern cars)

3- There's no way to disconnect the odometer because on most modern vehicle, all controllers on the car are "Talking" to each other on CAN (Controller Are Network) so even you suceed disconnect one, it will affect others and the car operation will be gone into a "Safe/ Limp" mode.

4- Even someone who know how to do it right, he won't tell you: (Yes, I have in our shops a scantool to do that, but we only used to transfer the correct mileage to the new cluster and other things.) The hefty fine and years (will be spent) in the box will make him think twice when get caught. HTH

Legally there's no way.

Why would you do that.

That's messed up
