I have a 1988 honda nx 250. How do I go about stripping the electronics?
All I want to keep is the Electric start. Anyone know where I can learn about wiring or tips I should be aware of before I go in and strip it all out?
Get a wiring diagram.
Trace the start and ignition circuits.
Some Hondas are funky and have ignition circuits that run to the headlight bucket/all over the place.
Map it out and verify by disconnecting everything before hacking it up.
Or (what I would do), just make a new, bare bones harness from scratch.
