I'm moving about 60 miles south and currently I have a 2014 Honda Insight and was wondering if it was ok to pull a U-Haul trailer with it?

You've obviously never rented a trailer before. What you can rent is based on three things: the vehicle weight, the vehicle wheelbase, and the manufacturers recommended towing capacity. The Insight is not recommended for towing by Honda (look in the owners manual) therefore it's doubtful you could rent a trailer for it, even if you installed a hitch. 60 miles is not far. Rent a van or small box truck. If you're under 21 and don't have a credit card, you're SOL as renting anything goes.

Only 2000lbs total including the trailer.

Check what the vehicle is rated for!

EVERY vehicle can haul a trailer with the proper fittings… How big of a trailer/how much weight is another issue.

U-Haul sells a frame mounted hitch to fit your car that can tow up to 2000 lbs (Includes the weight of the trailer) But it will cost you nearly $300 to install it on your car. It would be cheaper to rent a small truck to haul your "stuff".

I would advice you rent a u-haul as its would be cheaper and safer
