I need help! Project integra

I have a 96 honda integra and i need to change the valvle cover gasket which screws do i unscrew and what do i disconnect to take the cover off please be detailed

ADVICE: For any serious project, spend the money to get a proper FACTORY workshop manual and parts catalog (not Haines) with exploded view diagrams.

also search for YouTube videos. Here ya go, lazybones:

If you have to ask how to do something so simple, then you shouldn't be doing it. If you decide to, get a repair manual. You may find one at your local library, which is a big building with windows and books.

So much for a "project"! I'm sorry man but if you need that much info you don't have enough skills to be working on cars by yourself. But if you insist: just remove the spark plug wires (keep them in order) then remove the screws that hold the cover in place and sometimes there's a breather hose you'll need to remove too then the cover just pops out and you replace the gasket.

Its easy to do. It's not like youre changing a head gasket. Just watch some youtube videos or get a repair manual.

1. It's not held on by screws. It's held on by bolts, there's a difference there.

2. If you have to ask, then you likely don't posses the needed skillset to perform the job competently. I suggest you either A. Pay a shop to do it. Or B. Get a shop manual for the car and follow the directions, preferably with the aid of someone who knows how to perform the job.

I agree with most of these answers. Just to add. If changing this valve cover gasket do the valve adjustment procedure. Or better yet, have it done.

All the details you need are in Chilton's Auto Repair manual. Mark all the vacuum lines and wiring before disconnecting them. Mixing those up will cause hella trouble.
