Is a BMW E30 90-91 a good first car/ project car?
I'm looking into getting my first car but also want something to build up and make my own. So far i want a rwd import. No Hondas. Any suggestions?
Nice taste, I love that car. If you have the money to fix it up, and possibly to insure it then go ahead (ask how much the insurance is). Since it's rare, replacement parts are rare as well and possibly expensive. Aftermarket support is meh.
If you want something less expensive with more available parts, look at a Toyota MR2

- Is the bmw 325 1987 (e30) a reliable car to race? I first was planning to buy a honda civic with a goal of make it to 250HP, but I really don't want to be like all of my friends and be one of the bunch. I really like the e30 so what do you think?
- Is a honda civic si a good first manuel car? Ok so my parents want to buy me a $10k car because I just graduated from a military school. I've alwYs love and had a honda so I said what the heck let me get a honda civic si. I drove manuel before and have the idea of how to do it but still learning. Is it a bad idea to get it manuel if I'm just a beginner? Will it last me awhile? Is insurance going to be crazy? I'm a 20 year old who has been driving for 2 years. FEEDBACK
- I'm thinking if doing a project and want to know what would be best with an engine swap? I was thinking of doing a project on a Honda civic, I have seen S2k builds and had decided that I might try to do that rather then the classic K series or B series build, sombly because of the fact I want to try and stand out. I was wondering which motor would be better, the JDM F20C, or the USDM F22C1? I had researched and the only difference I could find was displacement and torque differences. I just want to know what would respond better to mods?
