Is a 10% discount off new car too much?

Looking at a new car for about 27500 list price. I want $2200 off then I will sign. This way too much? (Its a Honda)

Every new automobile currently on the market has a true market value. Depending on make and model the market value could be close to MSRP, invoice, or even below invoice. Look up the true market value of the Honda you are considering. You can see what others have paid. With this you will know exactly what a reasonable offer would be.

Edmunds, TruPrice will show you dealer invoice and what most people are paying.

Look it up on Edmunds.com
They have a good website for determining what a good price to pay is.

Every car has a different sell below sticker price. A Honda Accord Hybrid is in hot demand so has pretty much full MSRP but my 2014 V6 Accord had a nice 10-12 percent below sticker markdown. It is really a supply and demand question. The "truecar"dot com site will give you the approximate market price of a vehicle. It will tell you what others are paying.

Eh, $27k for a Honda is too much, IMHO, even with 10% off…
