1982 honda nighthawk 450 front brakes sticking?

I drive it regularly to school but I went on a three day weekend and this morning everything went fine on the commute but then later in the day the front brake stuck but when i wanted to go home it worked. What is my possible problems, so I can find out how to fix it on youtube? Is it unwise to keep riding as long as the brakes are not currently sticking? This has only happened this once and I have ridden it a couple thousand miles sense i bought it this spring.

The brake unit needs a rebuild. Thats a old bike and you need to keep on top of repairs. If it locks up when your riding it is going to be ugly. If you can't take it apart take it to a bike shop

Get a manual and rebuild your caliper/s before you super heat your rotor and warp it.

Rebuild the brake caliper.
Gunk builds up under the piston seal and squeezes against the piston preventing it from returning.
The caliper pistons get rusty and pitted, preventing a smooth return.

Possible, but rare - the return port in the master cylinder can get clogged from not changing the brake fluid regularly.
Master cylinder rebuild or replace it.

Determine what the problem is before wasting money on unnecessary parts.
