Dirt bike sprocket replacemnt?
I have a Honda 1979 xr 200 and it needs a new sprocket on the Kickstarter. Just wondering does it have to be a sprocket for a 1979 xr 200? Or just a Honda 200 2 stroke.
Kickstarters do not have a sprocket.
If you mean the front sprocket that the chain goes around, different years can be interchangeable.
Look up your bike and compare it to the sprocket's part number to different years of the same model.

- What are the dangers of riding a dirt bike shirtless? I was ready to ride my dirtbike all geared up (pants, helmet, boots, etc.) besides a shirt. I have an 80cc honda and a pretty skilled driver. However my father came out and yelled for me to stop and made me put on a long sleeve shirt. Was this right to do? Should he have just let me ride or was he right?
- Smaller sprocket on a dirt bike? I have a Honda crf100f and it goes fairly fast but i want it to go faster. People have been telling me to put a smaller sprocket on the back. And i would like my bike to be like the 2 strokes and 450s where if you give them enough gas they wheelie on their own. Will switching to a smaller back sprocket allow my bike to wheelie on its own?
- Running a VIN check on a dirt bike in Australia? So I was considering running a VIN check on my dirt bike, which is a 00' Honda Cr250 (un-registerable). I'm in Australia and I'm not sure where to go to get this check done as this bike would not have any registration history. Ideas? Help? Much appreciated as i'm just trying to find out my bikes past & possibly the first owner.
