Do you think this is a nice motorcycle?

It's a 2017 Honda Rebel 500 Do you think this is a nice motorcycle

That bike is a nicer guy than Ned Flanders

I prefer a 900 cc.

Yeah nice. Why don't you?

It looks decent enough. No idea of what it's like to ride though.

No, it's idious. It's a bike with an identity problem, laughed at by Harley riders and shunned by the rest of the biking fraternity. Only a few kooks or those on a budget would want to own a misfit like that.

Not Bad. I'd prefer more chrome.

In my opinion, I'd stick with a Twin Cam Harley. I've shed myself of 500-650cc anything. They are too small to go to Sturgis on. Even Mormon Lake, AZ. Do you think this is a nice motorcycle

You short? Good bike.

Big enough to hop across town, but it'll fool you into thinking it's big enough to ride on the highway. Someday you are going to think you want to ride to some event 100 miles away, and you aren't going to enjoy the ride home.

Decent model, especially for short legs riders. Rebel is known as good for shorties, light riders. Brother had a 250 , did many 50 to 100 miles quick runs. Small saddlebags and back rack, small windshield meant fair wind protection and enough hauling space for odd parts. Honda has rep for reliability, plenty of dealers. And 500 would be able to handle 70 mph hiways now. Older 250s good when speed limit was 55. For newer rider with short legs the Rebel is very good, 500 engine should be able to handle any legal speed limit in USA- maybe Texas MIGHT stretch capabilities of new rider. Suzi has GS500 and Kaw Ninja has 500 also, Yamaha 535 Vstar same class and Enfield 500 for american market for the Retro crowd. Rebel that fits would be about all needed for some long runs. I rode BMW R50/2 for 3 seasons, did several runs to rallies over 500 miles. Fuel tank capacity is small on many newer cycles, one thing BMW had advantage. Usable HP for single rider that wants to keep license- 40 HP will get you close to 100 mph, what old BSA, Triumph 650s and Harley Hs had when Easy Rider came to screens. BMW R75/5 had close to 60 hp and I got some speeding tickets with it- one reason why I finished that season on R50/2 , couple points on license left before suspension. 500 Honda of whatever model can get you into trouble, can also get you cross country with some attention to details, proper gear- and maybe large tube of Preperation H. If the 500 Rebel fits you, then get it to ride. Small windshield, case guards with extra front pegs and a rear package tray/rack for grocery bad carrying. Tank Bag, throw over rear fender saddlebags or couple of army surplus gas mask bags, Milk Crate on back- be about like CM400 trainer that has made some 300 mile runs and handy get around town- especially compared to Goldwing. 2017 means good for the Ethanol Blends that are only fuel available in some gas stations- one of reasons I don't have old shafties meant to run on leaded fuels anymore.

I prefer the looks of the old Rebels. Though they did double the CCs.
