I need a motocross/dirtbike riding class to take?

I live in central Illinois and would like to learn how to motocross race. I trail ride quite often with my buddy, but it's not quite as fun as what jumping and racing appear to be. I'm 16 years old and usually ride a 1994 honda cr250 (2stroke). I also have a 2003 Suzuki drz 250 (4stroke), and another Suzuki 125 (2stroke). My main concern is getting to a class that will teach me how to jump and race while doing so safely. The one time that I tried to do a jump myself with no experience, i dumped the bike and bent the subframe beyond repair. I would like to join a sort of beginner's class that will teach me how to jump and maybe how to race.

Side note: I would like to keep the class relatively close to where I live, so please post the location of the class.

Talk to the guys down at your local cycle-shop, they may know of a private tutor.
But in my opinion you should be able to teach yourself by just signing up to race in the Beginner Class and work your way through the processes. It's great fun and usually the guys in the pits are easy enough to talk to to get a few pointers as you learn.

Oh! Deep full breathes before that first race and bring fresh undies- LOL!

Gary Semics runs an MX riding course.
It's expensive and located in Ohio.

Before spending any money, I would watch his training
videos on Youtube.
