Is 20hp worth 10lbs on a sports bike? Via Yamaha r6 vs Honda cbr954rr?
Hp is not the end of the story. Power and torque and how and where in the rev range they are made counts for a lot. The CBR develops its power and toque lower down the rev range and both are superior to the R6 in that respect which is why the CBR will beat the R6 on track every time.
On the road its down to personal preference though the CBR is much better road bike too because of those engine characteristics.
- Would a 125cc 4 stroke scooter be able to keep up with a 125cc sports bike? I'm thinking of getting a Sym Jet 4 125cc, and my friend rides a Honda CBR 125, we re riding about 3 hours down to the Bulldog Bash, would my scooter be powerful enough to keep up with him? And cruise comfortably at about 60mph? Long and short. How much of an advantage/disadvantage are gears when it comes to acceleration and speed.
- Which bike would be a good first sport bike. Looking at CBR1000/600's and also the yamaha R1/R6? I don't know much about the differences, I know some people are all for Suzuki, Yamaha, Honda, of Kawasaki. Seems that whatever bike someone has, they say its the best. I wish I could just ride all of them and see for myself. Tampa, FL Sam
- Which bike should i buy either of honda or yamaha? I love Yamaha bikes but due to less pocket money my parents force me to buy Honda bikes because of its resale values and also due to its costs… How should i convince them.
- What would be the kind of sports bike apt for a beginner to start-off? I'm new to riding bikes, and I've ridden cruise bikes( I'd like to start-off my sports-bike riding. For now, my options for a beginner's sports bike are a Kawasaki Ninja 300, a Honda CBR250RR and a 600RR. I could afford a budget around 6,000 USD to 7,000 USD. What, according to your opinion and experience, would be a good starter sports bike for a beginner? And what kind of technical know-how and riding skills should I be needing to work on, in order to use one properly?
