Motorcycle Insurance Claim?

Right so back in Feb 2014, Someone went into the back of my Honda cbf125 and still to this date I have had no check for it or anything. The third party insurance used a salvage company to take my bike away in March and so it must be stored right? I was speaking to my friend in the business yesterday and they said there are storage costs and so my question is: Will i be stuck with these storage costs once the claim is settled? I stress that this was not my fault as i was stationary at a junction when the person went into the back of me and i really do not want to be stuck with storage costs that i did not know about when the third party insurance took it away.

Don't worry too much about it. You have to agree a settlement fee, before the case is closed. Get onto your insurers as soon as possible.

If as you say the insurance will pay to replace the bike, then it has been written off and storage will not apply.
You should check with the insurance co, have they asked for the V5?
check online if it is still registered - are you liable for road tax soon?

chose vehicle enquiry

You should have told your insurance company and they should be sorting it out, that's what insurance is for!

There's no cheque, your settlement is done between the insurance companies and they tell you what happens to get bike fixed or replaced!

*Cheque.

If it was the other parties fault they will pay all your out of cost expenses including storage. You need to be in constant contact with your insurance company (or theirs if you are dealing with it yourself) and ask them exactly what is happening with the claim.

You need to talk with your insurance and find out what is going on
any bills will have to be met by the other insurer

You need to contact your insurance company for an update. Presumably you informed them of the accident, so they should be representing you.

  • Motorcycle Insurance in Oklahoma? Am I interpreting this correctly? "Motor vehicle with a seat/saddle for the use of each rider, with not more than three wheels and a combustion engine with a piston or rotor displacement of greater than 150 cc. Is a motorcycle." Does this mean if I were to buy a 125cc Honda CBR or something of the likes, that I wouldn't have to get motorcycle insurance, and I could use my Class C license and not have to get a Class M license as well?
  • Motorcycle insurance cost? Plan on buying a 1982 Honda XL 185s. Wondering how much insurance may cost. I'm 19 years old with drivers license and motorcycle permit. I have nationwide insurance. Pennsylvania state. Any input on what the average could be would be very helpful.
  • Motorcycle insurance cost in Ontario? Anyone know what i would expect to pay for insurance on a 1983 Honda Magna 750? I'm a 19 year old male who is just starting to ride. Thanks (Also, would a 1985 Honda Shadow 500 be cheaper on insurance?)
