What is a Comfortable motorcycle for both rider and passenger?

Got a v star 650, and the passenger seat is… Well not very pleasant most passengers after about 30 minutes complain, after an hr the person after hitting a bump said stop the bike and hopped off for a break. ( Suspension is good but bumps still hit you ) so a comfy stock seat is a must
For me i get a lot of neck / upper back pain while riding, not sure if thats maybe fixable by windscreen if anyone has experience please share! Also I want to put it keep it towards the kawasaki, suzuki, yamaha, or honda bikes as I'm a college student not with a lot of money will buy used, preferably more powerful since i do a lot of 2 up riding usually 50+ miles

Added (1). also would be preferable if the bike flickable ( does not have to be crazy like a sport bike ) as do live in the city and when not directly on the highway want to be able to swerve efficiently

I have never been on a comfortable motorcycle

Cruisers aren't particularly comfortable for long rides. Look into sport tourers.

The absolutely most comfortable factory stock motorcycle seat I have ever found was my 2000 model Kawasaki Vulcan Nomad. It had plenty of cushioning both front and rear, and just a bit of a hump at the rear of the seat to act as a bit of a backrest. My wife was so comfortable on the passenger seat that she used to fall asleep while riding. I believe they still have pretty much the same style of seats today.

YamaHondakawazuki all make cruising/touring bikes with larger seats for both rider and passenger. Larger bikes cost more though. It is quite normal to want to take a break after an hour, on longer rides even more frequently.

For the answer about never being on a comfortable bike, have you never been on a Goldwing or ElectraGlide? Any of the Harley touring bikes for that matter?

Goldwing with 'double bucket' seat. BMW with the 'large' factory seat another, the Harley double on the big cruiser. Mid size cycle might be a bit of problem, some of cruisers have low seat with minimal padding for passengers. If you just want a good seat- check out the custom double bucket seats or a installed by upholstery shop kit, or exchange yours with the specialty seat makers. Dennis Kirk Catalog used to have that for many cycles- $200.00 for the new seat on your model pan and a $50.00 deposit/core for your old seat refunded when sent back in box. New seat was on stock pan, direct fit and plenty of padding for passenger, rider. I have that pattern on old wing, passengers liked it better than stock seat and it is comfortable for me as old R69/2 BMW seat.

  • Honda Odssey seems more comfortable than Town Country, is this true? I was comparing these two vehicles online, and the Odyssey seems to be a better fit. In comfort, in reliablity, quality… Etc. Or am I wrong? What do you think? I know times have passed where both of these vehicles have improved, but… I need all the help i can get!
  • What's a good beginner bike for a tall rider? I've always wanted to get a bike ever since my mom let me ride one when I was 12. I'm a 16 year old girl, 5'9", 135 pounds. I was thinking about a Triumph Bonneville (it's my dream to own one but now I'm thinking it's too small) or a Honda. Does anyone know what would be a good bike for me, even if I grow an inch or two more before I can afford one?
