What should I expect riding highway 50 from I-15 in UT to Carson City, NV?
My girlfriend and I are riding my Honda Interstate from Salt Lake City, Utah to Monterey, California and back at the end of this month. We're planning on using Highway 50 on the way out there then traveling north to Sonoma County, California. We will be returning along a different route TBD. We'll be taking two days for the long legs of the trip with Carson city being our stopping point on the ride out. What advice or tips can anyone provide about Highway 50? I've never used it and I want to be prepared for the trip. I've prepared the bike with a new seat, high back rest for my girlfriend, luggage rack, windshield, full face helmets with Uclear intercoms, and saddle bags.
