Why are those Harley Davidson motorcycles very popular among old people?
Usually, I see young people riding Honda or Kawasaki kind of motorcycles. But there are many old men who ride Harley Davidson stuff. Why do those young people prefer those fast bikes and old people like those Harley Davidson stuff?
Harleys are expensive. Even the prices for used ones are out of range for many young riders. And they are not known for acceleration which young riders prefer. And to young riders, it is all about the 0-60 or 0-100 times.
Older riders are more discerning.
Heaven above knows - I'm 56 and have been riding for 40 years and know 100% that I will never own an HD or any type of cruiser.
You're too young to understand. Mind you I'm 68 and I still don't understand.
Us "old" people know class when we see it.
Its because HD is QUALITY built where the others are cheap junk that only last 5-6 yrs. Have you ever seen a 1946 honda?
As far as that goes, have you ever seen a 1960 yamaha or Kawasaki that was still being ridden?
Harleys LAST, just like us OLD PEOPLE.
DON't WORRY, WHEN YOU GROW UP, … YOU'LL BE JUST LIKE US.
With age comes wisdom
Because it makes an easy troll.
Endurance, resale value and USA made. Having parts on dealer shelf for a 40 year old model is another advantage- rebuild parts for mid 1960s sporty or Panhead engine possible to get for complete rebuild in 2 weeks- can someone with a mid 1960s Honda 150 or 305 say the same?
- Why Suzuki is not as popular as Toyota, Honda.Nissan, Mazda, and Subaru? I hardly see any Suzuki vehicles on the road, and wonder why if t is also Japanese. it appears that both Mitsubishi and Suzuki lag behind its Japanese counterparts. I feel Suzuki are very good cars, but most people fail to see that and they don't notice it.
- Why people buy those POS Harleys? Why don't they buy a Hayabusa? Harleys are low, long, heavy and expensive. Whereas Hayabusa is comparable to a Bugatti Veyron. Plus, Hayabusa in made in Japan, so it's got Honda like reliability. Harley, on the other hand, break down all the time. So… Why people buy Harleys? Must be a baby boomers' thing which a millennial like me would never understand!
- Harley Davidson Forty Eight is a good choice for first bike? - 1 Many people offer small bikes for starting, like Honda CBF, scooters etc. But I love forty eight. Its my dreams bike, what do you think? It would be good choice for me? If won't' be good, what is the starting model in Harley Davidson's?
- I'm deciding between a 2001 Harley Davidson sportster 1200 custom or a 2000 Honda Shadow sabre don't know which one to get The Harley Davidson sportster custom 1200 has 17,000 miles it's green and he wants 3,300 for it. Or a Honda Shadow sabre has 7000 miles on it and it's blue they want 2,999 for it 3221 including taxes.
