Will a Atv rear shock work on a motorcycle as a rear shock?

So I have a 1984 Honda vf700s, which has a shot 17.5" rear shock.
I found this shock http://www.ebay.com/...1405356646
and I love the red spring i'm just curious if it would serve well as a bike shock.
And If so would it be suitable in terms of riding.

You can get shocks with diff colored springs on ebay or your local parts accessory shop. Why not get the ones made for your bike? You need to be concerned with the mounting, diff top? Diff bottom? Size opening of bolts, widths of mount area. Not a good idea to switch between diff machines bro. Headaches are heading your way

Just check if the weight of the ATV & the bike are about the same.

  • Why does my atv pull to the right? My Honda TRX250x 2013 pulls to the right. It doesn't really do it when i drive but i do a lot of wheelies when ever i have the 2 front tires up it slowly leans towards the right. Just wanna know why and if i cn fix it its very annoying when your on the road wheeling but the quad veers off to side. I've heard the tire pressure could be the reason? Please drop a comment really wanna get this fixed thanks for your time
  • What weight (kilograms) would I need for a Honda 350d rear shock absorber? So I can't find the specifications for the stock shocks and the ones I've got are clapped out and need replacing. I have measured the size of the shocks including the fixing sizes, but I'm not sure about the weight aspect, I'm looking to buy some aftermarket shocks to replace the originals. Any advice is welcomed
  • Rear turn signal and brake lights do not work on my motorcycle. How to fix it? I have a 2005 Honda Shadow Spirit 750. I bought it late last fall and didn't realize until a week or so later that the rear lights do not work. The tailbrake stays on, but does not illuminate when the brake is pressed. The rearrunning lights and rear turning signal lights to do work either. Everything up front works. Anyone have any idea? I think I could fix it myself, but will take it to a mechanic if I have to.
  • How does rated motorcycle ccs work? Specifically, I noticed that virtually all displacements of motorcycle engines are just slightly underrated. For instance, the Kawasaki Ninja 250 engine is actually 249cc of displacement. Similarly, the Honda website rates the 125cc from engine at 124.9cc. I've noticed this with a majority of motorcycles I've come across; their true displacement is slightly below their rated displacement. Any ideas why? Is this for some legal purpose?
