You say what does the on and off switch do in the picture of the 2008 Honda CBR600RR super sport motorcycle as shown in the pic?

Ture I attached! This Honda CBR600RR

supersport motorcycle operates in the

United States of America, and was made

in Japan. You say what does the on and off switch do in the picture of the 2008 Honda CBR600RR super sport motorcycle as shown in the pic

Most likely it is an after market switch that by-passes the cooling fan relay. In the ON position it should turn on the fan full time- OFF should pass it through the relay and the fan will automatically come on when the thermo-couple triggers it as needed.

Easy enough to test - just start the bike and flip it to on and see if you hear the fan spin up.

No, I didn't say.

Its for the air-conditioner or the garbage disposal unit.
If hot in stop and go traffic you flip to On and a large fan pops out of the pillion seat.
The garbage disposal you can figure out on your own.

Or it could be for heated grips.

It isn't a factory switch.

It is the cigarette lighter.

If you start the bike, turn on the switch, and the bike explodes, then you know it's for the onboard explosives. In the alternative, you could TRACE THE WIRE. It does involve taking off the gas tank and fairings. Sorry about the incredible effort, dude.

It's a non standard switch so could be for anything. Maybe even a satnav.
Can't really help you on this one.
