Plug wires or the ignition module connector, Pull the ignition module & coil connectors apart and put some silicone grease in it to keep the water out of it and go from there.
The plug wire is part of the coil so both coils can't be bad at the same time from water.
Dirty water is a conductor and aids corrosion. If you mean the starter will not crank, then check the battery terminals and starter wires. If you mean it won't fire, then it is more likely spark plug wires.
- Why did my gas tank start rusting after I washed it out with muriatic acid? I have a 1978 Honda Express 49cc moped, the gas tank had rust collecting in it and I've tried everything before going to muriatic acid. When I drained the tank out I was surprised, it was super clean, and I was happy. Until I came back out four hours later to see it had started rusting again. I rinsed it with water, blew it out and sloshed it around with gas. Why does it keep rusting? Do I need to use a sealant? What should I do?
- Honda twinstar won't start? So my bike was stolen. Two kids walked about a block away with it and a lady confronted them about it being stolen. Lucky for me. So they dropped it on its side and ran. After I got it back I can't see any visable damage. What could be the reason it will not start? This bike is old but has never had problems starting.
- Why does AC quit cooling on 2011 Honda CRV? Seems to be working fine- then hot air? The wife complained yesterday- so I checked ut. Its has freon in it. Pressure check was in the green. Blowing cool. Again today she calls- it started blowing hot air again. Could it be something beside the compressor?
- How much do you think Blink 182's Travis Barker's used drumstick would sell for? I caught his drumstick at the Honda Civic Tour in 2012. I'm wondering what you all think it might go for online.
