My Honda Odyssey front doors in LOCKED position and stuck open. How to fix?
My mother accidentally closed the front passenger door on the seatbelt. Now a white plastic piece is out of whack/ turned past into a locked position and the door won't close fully. Just hangs open and the locking mechanism just makes clicking sounds but doesn't do anything
I stupidly looked at the drivers side front door latch and tried to experiment to see what was wrong with the white plastic latch. Depressed it lightly with my finger and now that door is ALSO LOCKED OPEN and broken. Anyone else have this problem. I can't believe that just pressing a white plastic latch lightly breaks the door.
Using a large screwdriver push it into the latch, like the striker plate, and it will open.
Something doesn't sound right here. The door jam latch is always made of thick steel and can be moved with a screwdriver like the others said. However, "white plastic piece"?
Jerry has the right answer. Put a screwdriver in the door, where the strike plate usually engages, You may need to pull the door handle as you pull the screwdriver through but this should open the latch.

- Honda Civic 97 E-brake stuck. How do I fix/disengage it? I have an old honda civic and was looking around in it. The e-brake had almost never been used and so I lifted it to see if it worked. It worked, but when I released it, the brake light went off and when I tried to back up, The rear end rose and would not move. My fear is that something is rusted out and I'll need to replace it. Is there I way I can just disengage it permanently for I don't ever actually use it.
- Steering wheel locked, brakes locked, and ignition key won't turn? Wow has this car given me headaches, anyways I just recently replaced the alternator and I drove around for about an hour. After I get home I park the car and lock the steering wheel as always so I can put the club on. - How to fix a '93 Honda Accord sunroof cover that is stuck open? One day I opened it and it would not close no matter what. To clarify, it is NOT the glass part, only the cover that lets way too much sun into my car. I have tried manually opening and closing the sunroof to see if the cover would retract with it. I have also tried pulling and wiggling it side to side (which it will not do).
