For 2016 models in 2015, do they do it to public Transit vehicles?

I'm starting to wonder because I know the 2016 Honda Pilot and 2016 Acura RDX are out right now and they do it mainly for a marketing strategy.

But for 2016 models sometimes in 2015, do they often do it to public transit vehicles (like Transit buses or metro rail)?
a) yes
b) no

When you answer, can you give me an explanation?

  • Are there several 2012 transit buses by mid-2011? I'm starting to wonder because I already saw the 2016 Honda Pilot as well as the 2016 Acura RDX on the road (aka in mid-2015). And these cars got upgraded by model year.
