Hit a pothole, car makes scratching noise on bumps?
I hit a pothole going about 50 mph on a highway entrance ramp. Car drives fine but on any sort of bump/dip in the road, the car makes a scratching/grinding noise from the left front tire (the tire that hit the pothole).
It's an 05 Honda pilot, not lowered.
What do y'all think it might be?
I would check your brake caliper
Look under the car to see what has scratches on it and why it's hanging low.
Nothing that you can fix and you should fix it. Even that is not making noise your ball joint might got screwed up and wheels could be out of alignment now so delaying fixing would destroy your tires so you will end up with spending money on new tires as well.
- Window tint keeps scratching in honda? I had window tint and when I roll down they make a screeching noise. The two back ones leave scratches and I put felt to prevent it. I took once already but it keep happening. Is it the felt too close to window if I take felt and tint off will it go away? It's frustrating how it is.
- My 2003 Honda hybrid makes a noise in the back when I turn it on? I have a Honda hybrid in really good conditions just bought it two weeks ago and every time I turn it on it makes a noise in the back where the battery is. I live in Minnesota and it's really cold and snowing here so I think that might be the problem.
- I recently purchased a motorcycle (HONDA CBR600RR 2009) but the steering makes a funny noise? When I steer the front wheel to the right or left it just makes a squeaky noise. I'm wondering if other cbr600rr owners have the same issue. I took it down to dealership they said its the wiring and its normal. Anybody hear any noises when you try to turn the front wheel right or left during complete stop or when the bike is parked.
