My key won't program for a Honda Pilot 2005?

I bought a key from amazon and want to program it to my 2005 Honda pilot. I've tried doing the ignition sequence but the green security flight flashes when I'm done and the engine rolls but won't turn on. What do I do?

"The engine rolls but won't turn"? That's nonsense, obviously written by someone who knows nothing about cars or the correct terminology. Did you perhaps mean that the engine turns over but won't start? That would be an understandable statement.

What you should have done is spent more money, purchased an authentic OEM key from a Honda dealership and have them program it for you. At least it would have had some sort of warranty against a malfunction. Instead, you've most likely spent money for cloned Chinese junk that you probably can't return. You should at least contact the seller and see what they say.

Buying keys for a vehicle with an immobilizer system in it is not a good idea. I had to tell my service manager I wouldn't touch another customer car to program after market keys and FOB's because I lost too many hours messing around trying to program them and it always turned out to be the wrong key or FOB.
If you don't have to give the VIN when ordering a key or FOB don't order it.
Go to the dealer

Programming keys is best done at a dealer, they know how.

You stop buying things like this on Amazon. A lot of stuff sold on Amazon is fake.
