What could the problem be on this car?

I had taken my Honda Jazz for a 4 wheel alignment but the garage I took it to said that only the front wheels could be adjusted. Anyway when I picked up the car afterwards I noticed a big improvement in the feel of the steering and still to this day if I let go of the steering wheel it will remain true to its form in a straight line.

However the problem I have noticed is that under harsh braking it veers towards the left and this has left me confused. I'm positive it can't be the alignment as I had it done only recently. I have a feeling that this was like this before I had the alignment done.

Any ideas would be much appreciated.

If it were my car I would first check the tyres for damage and check the pressure, then I would get the brakes checked as they seem to wear out quite quickly on the Jazz I have had 2 sets of pads in 20000 miles. Also the brake fluid change could be due. However most cars, especially small cars like the Jazz pull a bit to one side in an emergency stop and this can be made worse by the road camber. Btw nothing to do with your problem, but if you are hoping to keep you Jazz long term make sure you have either the manual or automatic gearbox fluid changed every 2 years or sooner if you do lots of city driving as they get lots of gearbox issues. That's the symptom of a brake problem The brake caliper on the front right side is frozen.

  • What else could could be wrong? My stereo in my 2002 Honda civic la sedan wasn't working right so I had a friend check it out. Be got it so my stereo would work but now the a.c stopped working. When you try to use it the fans turn on for a second then automatically switch off. The mechanic shop said I need to change the control panel but I don't want to get a replacement then this isn't the issue. Is this all I can do to really know. What else could it be?
