Who makes honda dot 3 brake fluid?

Joseph Bramah. Al Bundy should be appreciated as the famous inventor was the father of the toilet. Lol.

Honda's brake fluid is manufactured by one of the major oil companies. This changes from year to year so there's no telling who is making it at this time. You do not have to purchase Honda fluid as you can use any DOT3 fluid you want. Just buy any major brand.

  • What happens if I use a non-Honda brake fluid? I have a newer Honda that is low on brake fluid. Manual says I need to use Genuine Honda fluid which is way more expensive and only recommends using a non-Honda fluid equivalent in an emergency situation, only if it's new and sealed. So what could happen if I use a non-Honda fluid? Does it damage the system so I have to get it drained As soon as possible? Or is this just a scare tactic to sell more Honda products?

  • I recently purchased a motorcycle (HONDA CBR600RR 2009) but the steering makes a funny noise? When I steer the front wheel to the right or left it just makes a squeaky noise. I'm wondering if other cbr600rr owners have the same issue. I took it down to dealership they said its the wiring and its normal. Anybody hear any noises when you try to turn the front wheel right or left during complete stop or when the bike is parked.
