Added (1). Took my Honda Element in for a recall and was told I had an intermediatry shaft that needed replacing for another $700. Why would it need replacing with only 55,000 one owner highway miles
Why would they be under the car and notice it leaking. I have never seen anything on the garage floor.
One of those "But nothing ever goes wrong with a Honda" types, I see.
Leave the heat on next time you go through the car wash and watch what happens.
- Vehicle I drive is a 2007 Honda Element that just turned 64,000 miles. I'm rigorous about keeping up on maintaining it People constantly approach me and ask if I want to sell it because the body and interior are in great condition as are all the internal workings and suspension. Even though Honda does not require synthetic motor oil I use Valvoline full synthetic and change it every 4,000 miles with a new factory filter. My question is how long will my engine last?
- Would you purchase a 2004 Honda pilot for $6,000.000 that has 216,000 miles on it? I'm just browsing online looking at cars for sale and a lot of them have 200k or more miles on them and they want $4,000 or more. Why do people sale their cars for such a high price with a lot of miles on them? Its not just Hondas its all types of cars private and dealers as well
- My 2007 Honda Element has a mint body and interior and under 64,000 miles but due to its age it needs about 4k in work, here is the list New tires, front struts with dust boots and bump stops, rear shocks, alignment, water pump, universal belt, front lower ball joints, outer tie rod ends, timing side engine mount, rear brakes, flush and bleed the system and emergency brake adjustment. Should I do the work and keep it due to low miles and good eyeball condition?
- Is the 1985 Honda CR 500 water pump gear shaft compatible with the 86-2001 Honda CR 500 water pump gear shaft? I have a 1985 CR 500 and the water pump gear shaft broke. It has been discontinued from Honda, and no one else has it. It is a metal gear. The one's for the 1986-2001 CR 500 are plastic. If I have to use plastic, I will. However, I prefer not to. If anyone knows where I can get the OEM 1985 Honda CR 500 gear shaft, I would forever be grateful.
